First! Friday & Saturday, September 4 & 5, the store will be celebrating 15 years of being in the Historic MarbleWorks! Hard to believe, right? But then it feels like I’ve always been here. And if you are a customer of the store then you know celebrating means a sale. And it’ll be 50% sale on all books. As Ben, of the Country Bookstore in Plainfield VT, said years ago to me, if you are going to have a sale make it fun! Everyone loves a sale, but a 50% sale is a whole lot of fun! Fun for the buyer and fun for the bookseller, And, you know what? It is.

The other news I must tell is my family is pulling me away again. Another family adventure. Another moment or two to clear my head. To get perspective. To find me. These days have been hard. You’ll note my siblings don’t give me a lot of warning. They spring it on me and say that all arrangements are settled so I can’t back out. So…I’ll be Kentucky bound next week. The store will be closed – Tues, Sept 8-Wed, Sept 16. It’ll be fun with my sister and mom, and meeting up with a brother.
